TODAY IN MUSIC HISTORY



Today in Music History!

October 15th:
 
In 1965 Jimi Hendrix got his first recording contract in the UK for only £1.

France 1973 seen lead guitarist Keith Richards to be found guilty of possessing cannabis. He would be given a one year suspended sentence and a 5000 Franc fine. Keith was also banned from entering France until 1975.

More recently in 2000 Radiohead went to No.1 in the US charts with "Kid A". This was Radiohead's first album to reach No.1 in the US with three proceeding albums.

Meanwhile U2 had gone to number 1 in the UK in the same year with "Beautiful Day". This was the 4th UK No.1 U2 had and came from the album "All That You Can't Leave Behind"
